How to enable “Telnet Services on Windows 7”

I’m trying to telnet my outgoing mail server at command prompt on Windows 7, but I’m getting an error ‘telnet’ is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

cmd-telnet0
How to solve this problem?

Simply go to Start > Control Panel > Programs > under Programs and Features click Turn Windows features on or off
Then tick Telnet Client and OK button.
telnet-client

After enabling the Telnet Client service, go back again on command prompt and type again telnet [website][port] (e.i. telnet mail.skyinet.net 25)

cmd-telnet1

Hope it helps.
