Event Overview

In early November, Microsoft released its latest Security Intelligence Report (SIR), version 7.0 – and we’d like to share this data with you first-hand via our “Risky Business” seminar.
The purpose of the SIR is to keep you informed of the major trends in the vulnerability and threat landscape and will highlight:

  • An in-depth perspective on the changing threat landscape
  • Software vulnerability disclosures and exploits
  • Malicious software (malware)
  • Potentially unwanted software

The report provides valuable insights and security guidance. SIR 7.0 focuses on January to June 2009 and is designed to help you improve your security position in the face of these threats. We’ll also be sharing our Microsoft security strategy, featuring highlights like our Security Development Lifecycle, the Microsoft Security Response Center, our Update processes, tools and resources. All of which show the progress we’ve made in the area of security, as well as informing you of the products, tools and services available to you.
