Skype is now part of Microsoft

A software application that allows users to make voice and video calls and chat over the Internet is  now part of Microsoft.  On 10 May 2011, Microsoft Corporation agreed to acquire Skype Communications, S.à r.l for US$8.5 billion.[10] The company was incorporated as a division of Microsoft, and Microsoft acquired all of the company’s technologies, including Skype, with the purchase. This was completed on 13 October 2011
